Woods Hole Community Association Pianos

The Community Association has 4 pianos in its buildings that may be used by community members. This page has information on these instruments and any use fees.

·      Stage piano in Community Hall. A thumping good upright piano, used regularly by the Woods Hole Folk Orchestra for its Saturday night dances. It is available to users renting the Community Hall for an additional fee of $25, as contribution to general Community Association piano upkeep. Users who feel they can’t afford this charge may request a waiver.

·      Steinway in Community Hall. Meticulously reconditioned, this is a concert instrument. A fee of $350 per event is charged for use of this piano, to cover the costs of set-up, tuning, and breakdown, and to contribute to general Community Association piano upkeep. Users who feel they can’t afford this charge may request a reduced fee or waiver.

·      Spinet piano in the Community Hall attic. A small piano of decent quality, located on the third floor of Community Hall (“Green Room”). Available to community members as a practice instrument by request. A fee for use may be charged.

·      Upright piano in Woods Hole School. An older upright of decent quality. Available to community members as a practice or student performance instrument, contingent upon user agreement and/or coordination for the classroom space. A fee for use may be charged.

All piano use is by request and at the discretion of the Woods Hole Community Association.
